A love letter, from one mum to another.

To the women here, who are carrying everyone's everything.

First, a check-in

No one's watching. If you were honest, where's your cup right now?

Not how full it should be. Not how full you'd like it to be in front of the other school mums. Where is it at?

empty half full
i've gifted you something below to pour something back in.
From me to you

I want to tell you something that changed me forever as a mother.

Pop in your headphones, let's chat.

Living in the &

Here is the other thing nobody tells you.

You are allowed to feel all of it. At once. In the same body. In the same hour. In the same sentence.

We have been sold a version of motherhood that lives in the 'or'.

You either love it or you find it hard. You're either grateful or you're complaining. You're a good mum or you're struggling.

Motherhood lives in the &

You can adore your child & miss being able to leave the house alone.
You can be the most loving mother in the world & fantasise about checking into a hotel for forty-eight hours by yourself to enjoy just one uninterrupted thought.
You can be deeply grateful for the life you have & grieve the one you didn't take.
You can be doing a beautiful job & be on your knees with how hard it is.
None of it cancels the other out. You can hold two true things at once.
Tap what's true

Motherhood lives in the &

Give yourself permission to pick as many feel true. All of it can coexist.

All of this is true...
& this can be, too
this is the safe space for all of your mum truths
None of those cancel each other out. They can coexist.
Both. All of it. All at the same time.

This is the universal truth of motherhood. An identity-bending, relentless, under-acknowledged job. Done without enough support. Without enough sleep. Without enough room to come up for air.

If your cup is running low, I built this for you to return to any day you need a top up.

My mothers day gift to you
